We have placed counter with software for counting people at the entrance and exit of our stores. If the capacity of the store is filled up, we will let newcomers in according to the number of customers who leave the premises.
Our co-workers and security staff are responsible for monitoring compliance with these regulations.
We thank customers for keeping a distance of 2 metres from others. We have created waiting areas in places where people are expected to gather so that it is possible to maintain distancing.
We have reserved waiting areas in several parts of our stores. Even so, we ask our customers to check the current free capacity on our website before visiting an IKEA store and then deciding when to visit us.
IKEA co-workers and external partners are regularly tested for Covid-19 in accordance with current government and hygiene regulations.
If there is a suspicion of infection among our co-workers, we will take the necessary steps - for example, we will ensure that we contact all those who have been in contact with the affected co-worker in the course of work. All co-workers are then sent for a test and we pay their salary during quarantine.
IKEA monitors and complies with all government regulations. At the same time, however, we respect the personal choice of each of our co-workers.

Online shopping
Due to daily limits on the number of online orders and full delivery capacity, you may not be able to complete your order. Please try to place the order the next morning.
We try to ensure that all products listed in our catalogue are available to customers. However, sometimes it happens that, due to the high popularity of some products or supply issues, some articles are sold out.
Therefore, we recommend that customers check the availability of products online before creating an order. The stock check is updated every 10 minutes. Customers can also set up product stock notifications via SMS or e-mail. Simply click on your chosen store and fill in your contact details.
Returns and Claims
The return period that expired during the closure of IKEA stores has now been now extended to 31 August 2021. It is therefore not necessary to rush to return products immediately after stores reopen; however, we recommend utilising the extended return period as much as possible. Products purchased online can also be returned remotely.
Products purchased online before the reopening of IKEA stores can be returned by 31 August 2021, either in person or remotely (sent).
We do not currently see a need to quarantine or disinfect returned goods. We will modify the process accordingly in the event of stricter government regulations.
