Too Many Defects and Installation ProblemsSimonWe had our kitchen installed using IKEA’s installation service. While the design is good, the overall experience was disappointing.
In total, 8 front panels had to be replaced — 6 arrived defective from the factory, and 2 were damaged by IKEA’s own installation team. This caused unnecessary delays.
The quality of the fronts is poor — they scratch easily and show marks quickly, which is not ideal for a kitchen.
Additionally, the floor skirt was cut at extra cost, even though it wasn’t necessary since the kitchen sits higher than the skirt. It was also cut incorrectly, leaving a visible gap between the skirt and the kitchen floor panel.
Overall, I expected better quality control, installation care, and more durable materials.
