Sewing and Embroidery services

• MAM Living company guarantees installation work for 1 year after installation, which is subjected to proper use and conditions of use, covering only the installation point. (Guarantee for curtain rail systems, folding curtains such as curtain rails falling off, falling rails. And there is a need to wait and queue for the next available installation time slot)
• The customers have to recheck with Housing Estate Juristic Person before specifying the date and time the technician team can provide installation work.
• In case of shortfalls in some parts, miscalculations in the curtain system, or the wrong product being installed, the customers need to make a new product purchase with IKEA by themselves. MAM Living technicians are not authorised to purchase on behalf of customers. A new booking for installation must be scheduled for the next available installation time slot, and there is an extra surcharge of THB800.
• MAM Living has the right to reschedule when the technician team considers that the installed area is not ready for the technician to start working. And the new booking for installation must be scheduled with a new available installation time slot and there is an extra surcharge of THB800.
• In case the customers want to make a service cancellation, the customers must inform MAM Living at least 3-5 days before the installation date. (In case of paying via credit card or debit card, 3% will be deducted)
• The customer has the right to postpone the installation 3 times (by informing at least 1 day in advance). For the postponement over the stated period, there is a surcharge of THB500/time).
• For sewing, tailoring, or embroidering, customers must check the quality of finished products including height, curtain connection, hem cutting, and joints, before the MAM Living’s handover.
• The finished tailoring of ready-made curtains, meter fabric, and pre-cut fabric cannot be returned to IKEA or claimed the sewing service fee.
• In case customers order curtains, upholstery, or other textiles products in the incorrect size, an extra surcharge will apply, with a minimum charge of THB100. This also applies to ready-made curtains.
• In case of product damage, such as discoloration or defects, customers can contact the IKEA Easy Buying department for related claims, subject to IKEA’s return policy.
• Our 365-day return policy does not apply to cut fabric, embroidered products, and damaged items resulting from misuse, abuse, normal wear and tear.
• Ready-made curtains, meter fabric, and pre-cut fabric have a shrinkage of no more than 4%, depending on materials.
• Full tax invoices and withholding tax invoices can be issued only on the invoice date. Retrospective documents cannot be issued. (If the customers use the services at 6 PM onwards, the documents can be issued on the following day)

1. Can I use fabric to sew into clothing like shirts, pants, or hats?

No, our service provider’s service scope is only for the home furnishing area.

2. Can I request for shower curtain size adjustment?

No, since the materials are non-textiles. Our service provider’s service scope is only for the textiles area.

3. How long can I expect to get the textiles I request for sewing?

It depends on the volume order. If not in bulk, the service provider should complete the sewing within 7 days from the date of order.

4. If I have just noticed that my measurement of the ready-made curtain size adjustment order was wrong, what should I do to solve this problem?

You can contact our service provider directly to correct the size, and we recommend you visit them at IKEA stores to clarify. In case the service provider can modify it, there will be an extra surcharge applied with a minimum charge of THB100.

5. Can I specify a date and time to get the services?

For sewing orders, normally, it will take no longer than 7 days to get the finished product. Once complete, our service provider will send an SMS or contact you via LINE to notify you. In case you request express delivery, you can also contact our service provider to check the queue. It will only take a few hours to receive the finished products.For curtain installation works, you can inform your preferred date and time (which is aligned with your Housing Estate Juristic Person) and let our service provider check the available slot for you. Normally, in the off-peak period, you should get the product within 7 days from the sewing completion date.

6. The ready-made curtain is too short to suit my window. Can I connect them together?

Yes, of course. Our service provider is a specialist in this area. Just inform your needs, and you will get what you want.

7. I am unsure if I do the site measurement correctly or not. What should I do?

We offer an on-site measurement with the fee of THB500 in Bangkok and its vicinity (selected areas only) to help you.

8. Are you offering the embroidery service?

We have embroidery service ONLY at IKEA Bangna and IKEA Sukhumvit, starting from THB 5 for letters and THB 30 for design. 

9. Do you have a curtain cleaning service?

 Yes, we are partnering with SofaBoy – the cleaning specialist. You can contact SofaBoy directly to get the quotation for this service.

10. What about the service guarantee?

Our service provider offers a 1-year guarantee after installation, which is subjected to proper use and conditions of use, covering only the installation point.(Guarantee for curtain rail systems, folding curtains such as curtain rails falling off, falling rails. 11. If I have no time to pick up my custom sewing orders, what should I do?

You have 2 options. The first option, you can ask for express delivery to get the finished product within a few hours. Express delivery fee will be applied. The second option, you can ask for parcel delivery. An additional fee for delivery will be applied.

12. Can I bring my own textiles or non-IKEA home furnishing textiles for the sewing service?

Yes, you can bring your textiles and receive the sewing service from our service provider.

13. Is there a curtain system removal service?

We have dismantling curtain rail equipment service with the fee starting from THB 100 per point. 

• Embroidery lead time is approximately 1-7 days from the date of the service order, depending on the embroidery queue or available slot of the service provider​. 
• IKEA offers a limited selection of thread colors, fonts, and designs; customers may only choose from our embroidery catalogue. 
• Embroidery service is applicable for only the suitable products. Ask our service provider to suggest or give more information.​ 
• Your order will provide details of requested products and services including products to be imprinted, design(s) and design ID(s) to be imprinted, thread colors to be used, imprint size(s) and imprint location(s). And the customer must approve your order and all related artwork, and samples before the order will be scheduled for production. 
• IKEA shall not be liable for any shrinkages on the fabric. The imprint placement will be specified on the order. The precise location of each imprint may differ slightly on each garment. 
• The designs may not be copied or reproduced in any way.​ 
• IKEA reserves the right to decline service for any inappropriate messages. IKEA will not be held liable for any messages submitted by customers in the event of legal action. 
• The finished product may have slight differences from the catalogue as item is manually processed. Customers must check the quality of finished products before the MAM Living’s handover.​ 
• The finished tailoring of embroidered products is non-exchangeable and non-refundable. They cannot be returned to IKEA under the 365-day return policy, nor can the embroidery service fee be claimed from MAM Living. 
• In case of product damage, such as discoloration or defects, customers can contact the IKEA Customer Relation department for related claims, subject to IKEA’s return policy.​ 
• Change orders and order cancellations are generally not accepted once an order is approved. 
• IKEA is not responsible for orders that are not collected within 60 days of completion.​
