Removal service

Mattress/bed frame/children's bed/baby’s cot/children’s mattress/daybed/sofa bed removal service for recycling by the service provider will be free of charge (from the normal starting fee of 300 THB) during the promotion period. The service is available for both in-store and online purchases, from the period of 1 Sep 2024 – 31 August 2025. Once collected, the mattress/bed frame/children's bed/baby’s cot/children’s mattress/daybed/sofa bed will be delivered to The Mirror Foundation for the segregation process to be donated, or deconstructed and recycled in an environmentally responsible way. 

• Applicable ONLY for IKEA Family members. 
• IKEA will take one old piece of mattress/bed frame/children's bed/baby’s cot/children’s mattress/daybed/sofa bed back when the customers purchase one new piece of IKEA mattress/bed frame/children's bed/baby’s cot/children’s mattress/daybed/sofa bed that needs to be comparable (excluding RÅHOLT, JESSHEIM, mattress pad, baby’s mattress for cot, and AS-IS items). 
• In-Store Purchasing – Please book the mattress/bed frame/children's bed/baby’s cot/children’s mattress/daybed/sofa bed removal service together with the IKEA home delivery service ONLY and must book this service in advance when booking the delivery with the home delivery company. IKEA reserves the right not to provide the service for late requests that come after a home delivery service is booked. 
• Online Purchasing – The customer can request mattress/bed frame/children's bed/baby’s cot/children’s mattress/daybed/sofa bed removal service by making a call ONLY on the purchased date or within one day after purchasing to IKEA Customer Contact Center Tel: 02-708-7999 during operating hours 10 AM – 10 PM. Late booking will not be valid for this service.  Important note: For online service booking, the delivery schedule will be opened after 2 days once complete the booking with IKEA Customer Contact Center.  
• The delivery location is ONLY valid in ZONE 1 & 2 for IKEA Bangna, IKEA Bangyai, IKEA Sukhumvit, and Phuket for IKEA PUP (including Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Samutprakarn, Pathumthani (Post code 12000, 12140, 12160), Nakornpath-om (Post code 73170), and Phuket). The service is not available in Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, Ko Sichang (Chonburi), Ko Yao (Phangnga), Ko Kut (Trat), Ko Tao (Surat Thani). 
• The old mattress/bed frame/children's bed/baby’s cot/children’s mattress/daybed/sofa bed is limited with length not over than 210 cm. The customer needs to discuss with the home delivery company and estimate the size when booking the service. 
• The old mattress is not limited to the brand and size, but it must be able to be bent. The customer needs to discuss with the home delivery company and estimate the old mattress weight when booking the service. 
• The old mattress/bed frame/children's bed/baby’s cot/children’s mattress/daybed/sofa bed MUST NOT in wet condition and/or damaged by termites/unspecified pests. 
• The old mattress/bed frame/children's bed/baby’s cot/children’s mattress/daybed/sofa bed should be safe for transport and not pose any risks to the home delivery company. Our service partners have the discretion to refuse the collection of anything that they (in their sole discretion) deem to be unsafe for collection/transport. 
• Our service partners will carry out a risk assessment before moving any items and will assess the health and safety risks on a case-by-case basis. Our service partners will not move any items where they consider that to do so would constitute a safety risk. 
• In the case of pandemic, IKEA has the right to stop the service during the serious pandemic time. 
• No service will be applied when there is no access to an elevator, lift, or stairs (in unusual corridors or walkways). 
• If there is no lift in the building or if the packages cannot fit appropriately in the lift, 
  • Additional fees of 50 THB/bulky item/floor will be applied starting from the 5th floor onwards.  
  • The 8th floor is the highest floor where delivery service will be provided.  
• The delivery schedule will be only available to slot in from 4-7 PM only, and subject to change in case any matters beyond our control, including acts of nature, strikes, etc. that would be unsafe for collection or transport. 
• Home delivery staff will take photos of your old mattress/bed frame/children's bed/baby’s cot/children’s mattress/daybed/sofa bed before wrapping and taking it back for IKEA tracking purposes. 
• In case of cancellation, the customer must contact IKEA Customer Contact Center Tel: 02-708-7999. 
• This free service is excluded for B2B. 
• This free service cannot be exchanged for cash. 

Furniture removal service for recycling by our service partner is available for a fee starting at 300 THB. The service is available for in-store purchases only. • IKEA will take one old piece of furniture back when customers purchase one new piece of IKEA furniture that needs to be comparable. For example, when purchasing a sofa and a side table, customers will only be able to use the furniture removal service for a sofa and a side table. 
• In-Store Purchasing – Please book the furniture removal service together with the IKEA home delivery service only. The furniture removal service must be booked in advance with our service provider. IKEA reserves the right not to provide the furniture removal service for late requests that come after a home delivery service is booked.

• IKEA offers an old mattress removal service, regardless of brand and size. However, the mattress must be able to be bent for ease of transport. Please discuss with the home delivery company to estimate the weight of your old mattress when booking the service.  
• IKEA offers an old furniture removal service, regardless of brand. However, the furniture must be transportable. Please discuss with the home delivery company to estimate the weight of your old furniture when booking the service.   
• The old furniture MUST NOT be in a wet condition or be infested with termites or other insects. 
• The old furniture should be safe for transport and not pose any risks to the home delivery company. Our service partners have the discretion to refuse the collection of anything that they (in their sole discretion) deem to be unsafe for collection or transport.
