Recycled beauty from glass
At IKEA, we aim to use only renewable or recycled materials. In Southern India, we collaborate with the social business Greenworms to collect post-consumer glass. The business not only creates a steadier livelihood for women but also contributes to preventing waste generation, while the glass they collect becomes beautiful products at IKEA!

"Through working with the HÄNGBJÖRK collection, I had the opportunity to learn more about recycled glass and understand the possibilities and limitations of the material. The beauty of the green and brown glass found in ordinary bottles inspired me. I aimed to maintain the same simplicity, but chose shapes that celebrate the vibrancy, different shades and charming bubbles of recycled glass. Play and combine the vases and candle holders as you like – and enjoy the result!"
