Despite being firmly grounded in the science of play, the design process was as playful as the products themselves. Each designer was asked to start in the everyday activity where they get lost in the moment and simply have fun – and to create items that make people smile. “To me, playfulness is a way of looking at life that boosts creativity and makes me believe that everything is possible. I won’t ever allow my inner child to grow up”, says Marta Krupinska, one of the designers behind the collection.

“The team wanted to create the classic soft toy, a teddy bear – but said: what if we make a huge one? The prototypes were indeed big, and we started to wonder how it would be to carry and wash it. We reduced the size but stuck with the idea of making a huge bear that can also sit in the living room. Our colleagues’ reactions inspired us. With a teddy bear in our arms, we became children again, and it reminded us of something important – we’re just children in adult bodies."
