Despite being firmly grounded in the science of play, the design process was as playful as the products themselves. Each designer was asked to start in the everyday activity where they get lost in the moment and simply have fun – and to create items that make people smile. “To me, playfulness is a way of looking at life that boosts creativity and makes me believe that everything is possible. I won’t ever allow my inner child to grow up”, says Marta Krupinska, one of the designers behind the collection.

"I wanted GREJSIMOJS children's stool to have a distinct Swedish DNA. So what has four legs and is found in Sweden? Moose of course! Bent plywood felt like a given since it’s deeply rooted in Swedish design tradition. I like that the moose has a playful attitude, but it’s expressed with small means and without excessive decoration. My vision? That it can remain in many living rooms even when the children have left the nest – as a decorative memory from when they were little."
