How does bathroom planning work at IKEA?

Bathroom Planning at IKEA is a free planning service that is available both in stores and online. Bathroom planning takes about 45 minutes, and you can also plan your bathroom using one of our free online planning tools.

During your visit, you'll meet a bathroom sales representative at your local IKEA store or online, whichever suits you best. Together you will go through your needs and wishes. Our sales representative will help you plan bathroom furniture with smart storage and a well-thought-out flow for smoother routines and a simpler everyday life.
Here's how it works:
  1. Get inspired. Take a moment and browse our bathroom ideas or start creating your own drawing using our bathroom Planner.
If you are using any of our planning tools to create your bathroom design, be sure to save the design code. You will need it to edit your drawing or to use it during a meeting with a sales representative. You can find your planning code at the bottom of the planning tool page by selecting "Finish". If you'd prefer to receive a link or email with your specific design and planning code, select "Save for Later" and follow the on-screen steps.
  2. Book an appointment. You can choose to book your appointment either online or at your nearest IKEA store.
  3. Measure your space. In order for our bathroom salesperson to be able to help you in the best way, we need measurements and information about the room. Measure and note the height, width, and depth of the space, as well as the location and dimensions of electrical outlets, doors, windows, and other details that may affect the planning.
  4. What do you need? Make a list of all your basic needs and wishes to create your dream bathroom.
  5. Take pictures. A photo of the room can be very useful in your planning.
  6. Do you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment? Follow the link in your confirmation email if you need to reschedule or cancel your planning time.
  7. Discuss your dreams and desires with a bathroom sales representative during your meeting. You will receive a 3D drawing and a shopping list with everything you need. The planning meeting lasts approximately 45 minutes.
  8. Take the time to go through the plan and next steps. Do you need to make any adjustments or are you happy with the final design? When you're ready, you can visit IKEA in stores or online to complete your order.
