How do I sync the BILRESA remote control with a light source?

BILRESA is a remote control for IKEA smart lighting that allows you to turn on, off and adjust the light wirelessly. Here is a simple step-by-step guide on how to pair BILRESA with a smart light source.

To put BILRESA into pairing mode, quickly press the pairing button four times in succession. This activates pairing mode for 30 seconds, during which you can pair BILRESA with a compatible IKEA smart light source.
Make sure the battery is inserted and the plastic tab – if the remote is new – is removed before you start pairing.
Insert the light source into the luminaire and turn on the switch to power the lamp. Then put the light source into pairing mode according to the instructions for your particular smart light source, often by quickly turning the switch on and off several times until the light flashes or changes brightness. Hold BILRESA close to the light source and wait a short time for the light to stop flashing and glow evenly. Then the pairing is complete.
If you need to reset BILRESA , press and hold the system button for about 30 seconds until the remote resets. To open a new pairing window, quickly click the system button four times. You can then repeat the pairing with the light source in the same way as above.
