Can the driver refuse to bring my home delivery inside?

The driver will make their own assessment of whether the delivery can be carried out without risk of damage to your home, the items you ordered, or themselves.

If you have ordered a home delivery but the truck cannot get close enough to your residence, the driver has the right to refuse to carry your delivery inside. There are several factors that can affect the driver's ability to complete the delivery:

  • Locked gate

  • Narrow road

  • Poor road conditions

To ensure a sustainable working environment for our drivers, it is important to reduce the long distances they need to carry heavy items.

So, make sure to have the gate key ready, shovel away snow, sand, or create space for the truck if needed, to ensure a safe and successful delivery.
