Can I mount METOD frames to the wall without using the METOD suspension rail?
It is possible to mount METOD frames directly to the wall studs without using the suspension rail. Just keep in mind that the shortening measurement size* needs to be 5 cm below the top edge of the frame.
*Shortening measurement is a measurement for the height at which the joists in the wall that are load-bearing need to be placed in order for products to be anchored to them. For our METOD frames, the shortening measurement (the center of the stud) needs to be 5 cm below the top edge of the frame.
We always recommend that you use METOD suspension rail to facilitate installation. For example, if you use the METOD suspension rail, you have the opportunity to make fine adjustments and move the frames sideways before securing them to the rail.
