IKEA Buyback Service

Why let your much-loved IKEA products go to waste? Bring them back to us any time of the year and we’ll buy them back. You’ll then get a digital voucher to make your next purchase more affordable, while your used items find a new home.

How it works

1. Submit your request

Choose the eligible products you wish to sell, select the condition of each item, and upload pictures of the items along with the purchase receipt. You’ll see the estimated Buyback percentage for each product, and once you submit your request, we’ll send you confirmation.

2. Initial evaluation details

We’ll send you an email with the products you selected, the condition you chose for each one, and the estimated Buyback percentage.

3. Request review

We’ll check that the pictures match the products and verify your purchase receipt and that the products are eligible for the service

4. Get your request update

We’ll let you know if your request is initially accepted or declined. If declined, we’ll explain why.

5. Inspection and final offer

If your request is initially accepted, we’ll contact you to schedule a visit from an IKEA specialist to inspect your items at your location. After the inspection, you’ll receive the final Buyback value, and the choice is yours to accept or decline the offer.

6. Receive your IKEA voucher

If you accept the offer, you’ll get a voucher for the accepted items, and an IKEA specialist will collect the items from your location. Once the voucher is issued and the items are collected, the sale is complete and ownership transfers to IKEA. After that, you can’t cancel the sale or get the items back.

Items that qualify should be:

  • IKEA furniture only
  • In good, resaleable condition
  • Listed below as eligible
  • Complete and fully functional
  • Properly assembled when returned
