Buyback service terms & conditions

Buyback is only available for products listed as eligible on the IKEABuyback page. You will see this when you list your product online.To ensure a smooth experience, please make sure you meet thefollowing requirements:

  1. By submitting an item for Buyback, you confirm that you own the item and have the right to sell it to IKEA.
  2. The original purchase receipt is mandatory. Without it, we cannot accept the product for Buyback.
  3. Products purchased from the As-Is are not eligible for the Buyback service.
  4. We can only accept items with their original IKEA stickers as shown in the example below. You’ll usually find it underneath the product, under a tabletop, inside a drawer, or under a lampshade. Can’t find the sticker? Bring the item to the store, our co-workers will help you look for it. Please note: if the sticker is missing, we may not be able to accept the product for Buyback.
  5. The item must be complete and fully assembled. We do not buy back individual parts such as doors, legs, or shelves, even if they were purchased separately. During the final in-store inspection, we will check that all parts are present and that the item is in good condition.
  6. The item must be clean. Please remove any dust, dirt, or stains before bringing it to the store. This helps us assess its condition more accurately.
  7. IKEA reserves the right to decline any item for Buyback at its sole discretion, even where all the above conditions are met.
  8. If your item is not eligible for Buyback, you must take it back with you from the store. IKEA will not arrange or cover delivery for items that are not accepted.
  9. The Buyback quotation is an estimate and is not final; it is valid for 48 hours from when it is generated. The product will be inspected in-store, and the final Buyback value will be determined based on its condition.
  10. The Buyback value will be issued to you as a digital coupon.
  11. Once you accept the final offer and the Buyback value is issued, ownership of the item transfers to IKEA and the item cannot be reclaimed. You will receive a copy of the sale receipt confirming the transaction.
