What is Baseeta? Baseeta is an innovative financing service that allows customers to pay for all their purchases in installments, both locally and internationally. Customers will have a virtual card to be added to Apple Pay or Mada Pay so it can be used at point of sale to make purchases within the set limit.

Is Baseeta enabled in select merchants only? No, Baseeta can be used anywhere, locally, and internationally.

Can I use Baseeta online? Yes, Baseeta can be used online by using virtual card details (Card Number, Expiry Date and CVV)

Can I withdraw cash or transfer funds to my personal accounts? No, Cash withdrawal is not allowed; neither is funds transfer to other personal accounts or to online wallets.

Will Baseeta be reported in SIMAH? Yes, Baseeta will be reported in SIMAH, and the purchase limit will be reported.

How many transactions can I perform on Baseeta? The number of transactions you can perform is unlimited as the limit is revolving. You need to have sufficient "Open" Limit to complete your transaction.

What happens to the transactions done on Baseeta? All transactions will automatically be set to default instalments. You can change the instalments as per your repayment ability before the first statement is generated.

Is there any processing fee? No, there is no processing fee.

Is there a profit rate on transactions done on Baseeta? Yes, there is profit rate. Profit rate varies as per the merchant where transaction is performed. You will be informed on the APR and Instalment amount post selecting tenure for your EPP transaction.

Can I close the transaction before due date? Yes, transactions can be closed before the due date. Please pay full outstanding amount and call Tasheel Call Center to close the transaction.

What happens if I pay the full transaction amount before the first installment due date? No profit will be charged on the transaction when paid in full before the first installment due date. Tenure selected should be "1" for NIL Profit to be applied.

Is there any early closure fee? No, there is no early closure fee.

What is the minimum transaction amount? Minimum transaction amount is SAR 100.

Is there a fee for transactions performed outside of KSA? Yes, 2.99% will be charged on the transaction amount for foreign usage.

In case the amount due is not paid, will there be any additional charge? There will be a charge of SAR 100 for late payment.

How can I pay my installments on Baseeta? Payments can be made through your Debit/Credit Card, SADAD, and through IBAN transfer.

How can I apply to Baseeta ? You can apply easily online via our website or mobile app or by visiting one of our branches located inside eXtra stores or by calling us at 8003044434.

Will there be any additional profit or late payment fees for each transaction in case of payment delays? No, there won't be additonal profit added and late payment fees are charged once per month.

If I make a part repayment, will I be charged Late Payment Fee? Yes, a SAR 100 late payment fee will be charged in case of part repayment of statement balance.

Where can I find applicable charges on my transactions? Charges can be seen in "Initial Disclosure Document" and in "Terms and Conditions". Furthermore, APR will be displayed once transaction is performed and tenure is selected.

Can I change tenure option more than once? No, you can change the tenure only once after performing transaction.

When can I change the tenure on my transaction? You can change the tenure anytime as long as its done before the upcoming statement date, else the 4 month default tenure will apply.

Which Islamic Finance Principle is used to charge profit? We will be using Tawarruq Principle for charging profit.
