Smörrebröd with salmon & mustard sauce

Get a taste of Scandinavia with this classic Danish sandwich! The cured salmon and sweet yet savoury mustard sauce make it perfect for a light lunch or a summer buffet.

Serves: 4 | Time:  5 minutes

Ingredients:

4 slices SJÖRAPPORT cured salmon 

4 tbsp SÅS SENAP & DILL sauce for salmon 

4 tsp ROSTAD LÖK fried onion 

2 tbsp butter 

4 slices rye bread 

4 lettuce leaves 

1/2 cucumber 

4 sprigs of dill 

Step by step:

  1. Thaw the salmon.
  2. Slice the cucumber into long thin strips with a cheese grater or mandolin.
  3. Spread butter on the bread slices, and arrange the lettuce leaves and cucumber slices on top.
  4. Continue with the salmon. Top with sauce, roasted onion and a sprig of dill.
  5. Tip! Add a few slices of boiled potato under the salmon for a more filling sandwich.
