Rails for top-fixed elegance

Hanging your curtains with rails in the ceiling creates a neat look that makes the window appear taller. This also provides superior insulation as it prevents warm air from escaping at the top during colder months. Just make sure to mount the rails firmly and be aware of the total weight of your curtains.

The classic curtain rod

With a bigger distance between the window and the ceiling, or if you simply prefer a more traditional look, a curtain rod might be the best choice. Again, there’s a proven trick to make the window appear a little larger. Simply add 15-30 cm to your measurements on both sides of the window.

Blocking and filtering curtains

Besides giving you better sleep by shutting out all light, thick blackout curtains help stop any draught from the window and soften the acoustics of the room. When they’re open, the veil-like layer behind them is great for filtering sunlight and giving you privacy from anyone looking in.

Roller blind simplicity
