How to plan a bathroom remodel in 5 steps

1. Explore all bathroom styles

Unless you're building a new home or completely remodeling, you can't change your bathroom's size or piping layout. But you can control the style! 2. Measure your bathroom space

Once you've chosen your style, it's time to take precise measurements—they're crucial for your bathroom plan. Grab a tape measure, pen, paper, and a person who can assist if possible. Start at one wall and measure from corner to corner, then move to the next wall. Measure the height from floor to ceiling and include windows and doorways in your sketch, noting door swing direction.
