3 last-minute DIY gift ideas
If you don’t have time or money to spend this year, we’ve got three ideas that are quick, easy, affordable, and personal. All you have to do is add a bit of love.
For new friends. A fizzy drink or homemade juice is a safe choice. For a fancy twist, wrap the bottle in a meter of fabric. Here we used a corncob to paint our own pattern over the textile. The cloth can even be used as a runner for your friend’s dining table.
For the chocolate lover. Treat your friends to an easy chocolate recipe. Pour melted chocolate into some spoons. Sprinkle any topping to decorate — or blend two different types of chocolates together. Then dip the spoon into a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.
For the trendsetter. Give them a glamorous golden dining kit, which can be used for a romantic dinner date. Add a black bowl or plate to balance the dramatic look, as we did here. Gold looks great on New Year’s Eve too, which is just around the corner!
