IKEA alerts customers to ensure use of locking fittings at all times on SUNDVIK changing table/chest

Customers must not use the product for infant changing if these fittings are not in place correctly or are missing.

IKEA will provide additional safety locking kits where they have been lost or misplaced free of charge. Customers who request kits should not use their product until safety locking kits fittings are received and fitted correctly.

IKEA has received three reports of incidents where the foldable part of the SUNDVIK changing table/chest of drawers has come loose and children have fallen off the changing table. In these incidents, the safety locking fittings were either not used according to instruction or were not fitted at the time of construction.

The SUNDVIK changing table/chest of drawers is intended to be used in a fixed position as either a changing table or a storage chest and not as an everyday multi-function product.

The fitment and use of the safety lock fittings provided are integral to the overall safety and intended safe use of the product, and therefore must be used at all times.

Customers will not have to provide any proof of purchase, such as a receipt.
