Great design for everyone

At IKEA, we believe good design should be for the many. That’s why we create products that balance quality, function, form, sustainability and price. We call it Democratic Design, our way of making everyday life better.

Like the FLISAT children’s desk: it's height adjustable, durable and made from renewable wood. It’s built to grow with your child and priced so more families can enjoy it. That’s the kind of design we’re excited to bring to New Zealand.

Learn more about flatpacks

Flatpacks and big ideas

IKEA didn’t invent flatpacks but we took the flatness to a whole new level. Since the 1950s, flatpacks have helped us rethink how furniture is made, moved and enjoyed. They make it easier to take home, reduce packaging and transport and help keep prices low.
