IKEA Returns
This page helps you with how to make a return at IKEA. Our IKEA 365-day return policy means you can try our products at home and easily return them for an exchange or refund.

How to make a return at IKEA
There are two key things to remember when making a return with us.
- You have 365 days to do it, whether your product is new and packaged, or opened and assembled.
- It’s best to bring your proof of purchase – but if you can’t find it, we’ll help you locate your digital receipt.
We have detailed pages about the IKEA return policy, IKEA guarantees and IKEA claims, to help you along the way.
Return via store
Our 365-day return policy is simple – especially if you bring your receipt and arrange an express return online beforehand.
Head to Exchanges and returns when returning products to your IKEA store. If you have your receipt or order number handy, follow the link below and enter your details to receive your Express return barcode. This will speed up the process when you visit the store.
Return via collection
If you need to return larger items, we can arrange to have them collected from your home. A collection fee of $59 will be deducted from your refund.
When you’re ready for collection, contact us with your order number. Service availability and pricing may vary by store, so please check first.
Cancelling or modifying an IKEA order
For orders not yet dispatched, you can cancel through the IKEA Track and manage order page. For dispatched orders, simply cancel by contacting IKEA Customer Support
You are also able to modify an order delivery date up to a certain point in the order process. You can do this through the IKEA Track and manage order page as well.
For orders returned 14 days from the date of receipt we may refund your delivery charges, see terms and conditions for details.
When contacting us, please have your order number ready.
