How do I install a new appliance in a FAKTUM kitchen?
Most of IKEA's newer appliances also fit FAKTUM appliances. Here you will find a brief overview of things worth thinking about in the process.
Refrigerator:
As long as the refrigerator is compatible, you should be able to remove the fronts of the old refrigerator and put them on the new refrigerator according to the assembly instructions on the new refrigerator. You still use the old FAKTUM hinges.
Dishwasher:
As long as the dishwasher is compatible , you should be able to remove the fronts of the old dishwasher and put it(s) on the new dishwasher. Follow the installation instructions (follow the instructions for the whole front - split fronts cannot be done in FAKTUM and the VÅGLIG rail will not fit). If you have previously had other aligners (e.g. BEHJÂLPLIG) you can get rid of these.
DISKAD, PROFFSIG, TORSBODA and KALLBODA are not compatible with FAKTUM
Oven:
As long as the oven is compatible, it can usually be inserted directly where the previous oven was without any problems.
Extractor hood:
All the free-hanging fans can be placed where you want and will therefore fit well with both FAKTUM and METOD.
FÖRDELAKTIG, UNDERVERK 60cm and 80cm are not compatible with FAKTUM
Microwave:
Due to the size change from FAKTUM to METOD, our built-in microwaves often end up with a visible gap underneath.
Other appliances:
As long as the appliance is compatible, it should be easily replaceable directly with a new product. Use the old FAKTUM fronts if applicable, and follow the instructions on the new product. Wait to dispose of old parts until the new product is fully assembled.
