Is my kitchen from IKEA's older or newer kitchen system?
Here you can see how to find out if your kitchen is METOD (after 2013) or FAKTUM (before 2013).
You can determine if your kitchen was purchased before or after 2013 by measuring the height of your plinth front. Plinth fronts for FAKTUM kitchens are 16 or 21 cm high, while plinths for METOD kitchens have a height of 8 cm.
You can also check the holes on the inside of the cabinets. FAKTUM kitchens have a single row of holes along the edge, while METOD kitchens, launched on April 15, 2013, have double rows of holes.
Additionally, you can look at the cabinet height, where FAKTUM has 70 cm high base cabinets, and METOD has 80 cm height.
