Can I reserve a rental car at IKEA?
Yes, if you have rented a car from us before, you can reserve via hertzbilpool.no. For first-time rentals, you can easily register with BankID. The link can be found in this article.
If you have a user account with Hertz Bilpool from before, it is likely not registered through IKEA, and regular prices will apply. Contact Hertz Bilpool directly at phone number 400 22 000, and they will update your profile so you can get the discounted rate when renting a car through IKEA and Hertz Bilpool. For first-time registration, you must first choose your current store and register with BankID, which you can easily do here. Once done, you will be able to book a rental car on Hertz Bilpool's website (external link is in Norwegian) or in their app. In other words, you can book in advance for the desired rental period to ensure you get a car on the day you need it. You will receive an SMS 5 minutes before the rental period, to which you reply "OK" - this unlocks the car. The key is inside the car.
When you are finished with the rental period, you will receive an invoice that you can easily pay through online banking.
The next time you want to rent a car from us, you do not need to register again. You can simply log in with your username and password to book a car and time that suits you.
