IKEA for business: cosy ceramics workshop

Zuze Pet is a small ceramics workshop in Bauska region. Every day, the owner, accompanied by her four-legged friend Pepe, creates beautiful and functional ceramic dishes for pets. Here, every piece is made with love and care. IKEA Business Customer Section fulfilled the company's vision of a bright space in natural colours that allow the products to stand out.

About the project

Our task was to ensure that the workshop could fulfil four main functions. The space serves as both a living room and a storage room for the finished products. Thirdly, it is used for client meetings and workshops, and fourthly, it is used to display goods for sale.

From the very beginning of the project, the owner of the ceramics studio knew exactly which furniture collection and which items she wanted to incorporate in the interior. The designer's task was to visualise her ideas and make sure that what she had in mind was possible, taking into account both the size of the space and various technical parameters. Wooden shelving IVAR was the perfect choice, as it suits the company's type of business and the main protagonists of this space: products made completely from natural materials.

Natural and cosy

A sofa, a table and various interior objects such as a plant stand and wicker lampshades complement the functional and neat wooden shelves. This makes the owner and her four-legged friend Pepe, as well as the customers, feel comfortable and at home.

The design of the space, as well as the furniture and materials, is simple enough to be easily adaptable to the number of visitors. The shelves are mainly used for storage and display of ceramics, so only a few are closed so the goods are clearly visible and easily accessible.
