You have probably all heard of the children's play area located in our store and called Småland. Maybe your kids are among Småland fans? However, this is certainly not the only reason to come to IKEA with your kids. We have way more surprises for the little ones: from birthday gifts and special corners in the store to inspiring contests, where you can win a guided tour.
Contest for grades 1–6. Win a tour in the IKEA store!
A healthy diet is essential for everyone, but especially for children, so that they can grow, strengthen their bodies and immune system, have energy and be in a good mood all day long. Take part in the competition "Healthy Eating Day to Day" for students in grades 1–6 and share your and your classmates' healthy eating habits.
By February 10, record up to a 1-minute video together with your class and submit it with the application form, in which you show and explain why it is important to eat a balanced and healthy diet every day and an insight into your practices. Seven most original and inspiring stories – seven classes and their teachers will be awarded with an opportunity to visit IKEA in an educational tour. The tour is like a demo-trip to Sweden: students will get to know interesting facts about Sweden, its nature, language and traditions. We have prepared some exciting activities to make this tour a genuine adventure. Winners will have an opportunity to take tours on one of these dates in 2026: March 5, March 19, April 2, April 16, April 30, May 14. Results will be announced by February 16.
A tour in the IKEA store
Schoolchildren from all over Latvia have the opportunity to go on an exciting field trip to IKEA in Riga. The tour is like a demo-trip to Sweden: students will get to know interesting facts about Sweden, its nature, language and traditions.
