How it works
Before the kitchen installation:
- Measure, plan and buy your IKEA kitchen. If you haven’t done this already, we can help!
- Book an installation appointment. Consult a co-worker in the Kitchen department or contact us.
- Bring the kitchen home yourself or request delivery. Always check your order for correctness.
- Prepare your space. Clean everything out and take care of any work such as patching, wall painting or redoing floors. Set up a temporary kitchen and place all packaging in the room where the kitchen will be installed.
During and after the kitchen installation:
- Relax while the pros work. Every installation comes with a workmanship guarantee, so you can be confident it meets the highest industry standards.
- Once the job is done, the service provider will remove packaging and broom the site. Save assembly documents, instruction manuals and any spare parts.
- Enjoy your new kitchen. Cook with peace of mind thanks to our product guarantees, detailed in our full terms and conditions.
How to assemble and install the kitchen on your own
IKEA kitchens are designed to be installed by you. But we know it can be tricky to get started. To set yourself up for success, check out our tools and resources to support you along the way.
Get an overview of the installation
Before opening packages or starting assembly, take a look at the entire installation process from start to finish. Watch the “How to install your IKEA kitchen” film, or follow the step-by-step videos in our kitchen installation guide.
Follow individual product assembly
When you’re ready to assemble each kitchen product, follow the same approach you would with other IKEA products: read the instructions first, sort and gather all parts, then proceed slowly and carefully. Be patient with yourself—it gets easier as you go. You can also watch assembly videos on our YouTube channel.
