Make the most of it: the one-wall kitchen

So your kitchen is small. Like only-one-spare-wall small. Don’t worry, we’ve totally got you covered! There are so many ways to make the most of that wall, and we’ve got three amazing solutions right here. Because no space is too small for some really big ideas.

The same small kitchen is now outfitted to suit a parent with a small child. There is plenty of storage, cooking untensils hung from rails, and a play-kitchen for the child.

The kid-friendly kitchen

Don’t let a small space get in the way of cooking up some fun with your kid. Put the entire open wall to work and double your storage and work space. Add two METOD units; one placed up high becomes a pantry and the other, at a child-appropriate height is a place for them to play. Hooks are perfect for loading up with pots, pans, and cooking utensils, and KNAGGLIG boxes on wheels (full of fruit and veggies) fit neatly under your pantry. Need more work space? That chalkboard folds down into another extra surface!

The party-friendly kitchen

Sure, the space isn’t huge. But aren’t most parties better when they’ve got an intimate feel? Think about using the kitchen’s length, not width, to your advantage. A bar cart frees up some table space, while a gallery wall gives the room a personality boost. And thanks to stackable (aka space-saving) stools and a bench, you’ll be able to comfortably fit 8 at this dinner party.

The zzzzz-friendly kitchen

Yup, you heard us right. You can sleep in your kitchen. You might even like it. It requires a practical sofa bed (built-in storage for your blanket is a major bonus) and some curtains hung from a ceiling track to give a cozy feel at night. Complete the space with foldable tables for meals, racks that work as magazine holders, and a display cabinet that shows off beautiful glassware next to jewelry and perfume bottles.
