Make a fun DIY storage wall

Raise your hand if you need more storage. We could certainly use more! That’s why we loved it when our interior designer Therese created this extra storage wall. Come see how simple it is to make an artsy statement with zero wall holes.

From hanging clothes to bedding, a storage wall is ideal for small space living. All you need is wood, some sturdy knobs, and paint.

Find a sheet of plywood that will fit in your space. Paint it white or whatever colour you like. Use a circular sponge and paint to make a dot pattern. Decide where you want to be able to hang. Once the paint is dry, drill a hole in each chosen dot. Attach the kitchen knobs. (Their screws go in through the back.) Pick knobs that match your dots, so they blend in. Done!

P.S. Kids at home? Think safety and secure the dot wall to your wall.

We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
