3 easy Halloween treats

Don’t get haunted by big expectations just because it’s All Hallows’ Eve. Here are three simple treats you can prepare yourself or together with your crew to get into the party mood.

Cut out some scary pancakes with a knife. IKEA offers ready-made frozen pancakes that are easy to heat up. Serve on a side plate such as ARV in lilac and ÖVERSIKT dotted low glasses that are easy for the kids to grab and drink from!

1. Choose a chilling drink. Fill a muffin tin with water and pop a spooky plastic toy in each hole (find them in party shops). Freeze and put the cubes of fear in a bowl to keep the witches’ brew (organic lingonberry drink) cool. Don’t put the cubes in your drinks – no one wants to choke!

2. Go for gourmet ghosts (and cut down on sugar too). Make your own treats at home instead of buying sweets. Stack left-over or ready-made pancakes. Use card to make a couple of ghoulish shapes, then cut round them with a knife. Create your own scary deco using jam.

3. Make a ghoulish goodie bag. Keep it simple and go for ready-made bags that you decorate yourself. Cut out bats from card (we used gift tags) and stick them on. Fill them with terrifying treats (we used buns and chocolate coconut balls decorated with coloured cream and jam).

We love to see our customers get creative with our products. Go for it! But please note that altering or modifying IKEA products so they can no longer be re-sold or used for their original purpose, means the IKEA commercial guarantees and your right to return the products will be lost.
