At your local store (IKEA Avenues or IKEA Shuwaikh), an IKEA interior design expert will walk you through our products, discuss your project goals and help you gather ideas while you explore our collections in person.

These general terms and conditions of sale ("GTC") apply to the Interior Design Services and all sales of Products and/or Services connected to it and/or deriving out of it as a result from the Interior Design Services (together referred to as the "Products and/or Services ") concluded between a buyer (hereinafter referred to as the "Customer" or "you"), and the seller/service provider (hereinafter referred to as "IKEA" or "we"), within an IKEA store, excluding distance selling.
These GTC can be consulted at any time on the website www.ikea.kw.com as well as directly displayed in store so that you can read them before making their purchases in the IKEA store. Any order for Products and/or Services implies unreserved adherence to these GTC, supplemented or modified by our special conditions, which cancel any contrary clause that may appear in the conditions of purchase, purchase orders or other commercial documents.
The Products and/or Services must be intended solely for the personal or family use of the recipient, which excludes any resale of said Products and/or Services to third parties.
1. Acceptance and Modification of the GTC
You declare to have read these GTC before the sale and to have accepted them. Any order from you therefore implies acceptance without restriction or reservation of these GTC. These GTC will be applicable as long as they are available on www.ikea.kw.com as well as directly store. The GTC may be modified or replaced by IKEA. The applicable general conditions will be those in force at the time of the sale.
2. Identification of the seller and/or service provider
The Products and/or Services and/or Services and are sold to you by AL HOMAIZI LIMITED GENERAL TRADING AND CONTRACTING COMPANY W.L.L., Office No. C7, 3 floor, building No. 1268, Block 6, Al-Farwaniya.
3. Purchase of IKEA Products
Products and/or Services purchased from IKEA, may, depending on their availability and at your choice, be picked up the same day in store or delivered, subject to full payment of the price of the Products and/or Services. In order to continue to adequately serve the warranty of its Products and/or Services, IKEA offers its Products and/or Services in household quantities to you for your personal use of the product’s purpose and not for reselling. We, therefore, reserve the right not to sell in quantities exceeding household quantities.
4. Purchase of Interior Design Service
The Interior Design Services offered by IKEA are (i) Let’s Talk (ii) Let’s Design and (iii) Let’s Style. These Services can be booked through the respective booking platform and/or agreed with the respective IKEA representative. However, IKEA reserves the right to confirm any appointments upon availability of the required resources. Paid services are subject to full payment of the fees applied before commencement of the services.
5. Price and payment
All prices are expressed in Kuwaiti Dinar and include if applicable all taxes (VAT at the rate in force at the time of sale). In case Interior Design Services are charged per hour (in particular in the Let’s Style Service), the charges apply per hour and per Interior Designer or another Expert. The applicable prices are those displayed in store and/or online and confirmed at the time of purchase. The implementation and execution of the optional paid services will be considered after full payment of the price of the Product as well as the price of optional services. You have the possibility to pay for their order with online payment via link shared by IKEA only. Proof of identity may be required if necessary.
6. Attendance of Interior Design Service Sessions
In case you cannot attend the booked and confirmed Interior Design Session, you are requested to inform IKEA beforehand, at least 24 hours prior to the appointment to move your appointment to another time. IKEA Designers will wait for 15 minutes for you to attend the Design sessions. In case you do not join the Design session within the first 15 minutes after commencement of the meeting, IKEA Designers are free to close the meeting and record the session being closed without your attendance. In case you do not attend an appointment, advance payments will not be refunded.
7. Deliverables of the Interior Design Service
Deliverables from Interior Design Services are as follows:
(i) Let’s Talk
- Project Brief (summarizing style, challenges, and dreams)
- Product collage (summarizing IKEA solutions that resonate to your style, challenges, and dreams
(ii) Let’s Design (if applicable)
- Project Brief further developed (summarizing style, challenges, and dreams)
- Product collage (further developed summarizing IKEA solutions that resonate to your style, challenges, and dreams)
- Product Mood Board.
- 2D Plan Layout.
- 2D Walls Elevation.
- Comprehensive list of IKEA furniture as agreed in the plans and drawings.
- Comprehensive list of IKEA accessories as agreed in the plans and drawings.
- Sales Order of the IKEA furniture and/or accessories as in agreed in the plans and drawings.
- 3D Models.
- Lighting Plan (Design).
- Materials Finishing instructions (pint, floor, tiles, etc.).
(iii) Let’s Style (if applicable)
- Project Brief further developed (summarizing style, challenges, and dreams).
- Product collage further developed (summarizing IKEA solutions that resonate to your style, challenges, and dreams).
- Product Mood Board.
- 2D Plan Layout.
- Sales Order of the IKEA furniture and/or accessories as in agreed in the plans and drawings.
- Unpacking and propping IKEA accessories and/or furniture as purchased by you.
- On-site implementation of the agreed plans.
Delivery of IKEA products and/or accessories is subject to a separate sales agreement. This sales agreement shall be facilitated by the Interior Designer and executed by the respective IKEA units. Delivery and Assembly, if any, will be made by carrier to the address you have designated in the order form or agreed with and confirmed by IKEA. Please note that some Products and/or Services cannot be delivered, given the nature of these, i.e. perishable Products and/or Services, such as fresh Products and/or Services from IKEA food (note Delivery Restrictions).
Delivery and Assembly costs and conditions are subject to specific Terms & Conditions set out for IKEA product sales as they are available on www.ikea.kw.com as well as directly store.
8. Changes or cancellation of the Interior Design Service
If you wish to change your project after the deliverables have been shared with you the following terms and conditions apply.
The Interior Design Service is subject to one major change free of charge as per the discretion and confirmation of IKEA. Major change is considered requiring amendment of plans by changing more than 10% of the parameter entered. If you request more than one major change, the respective fees shall apply.
9. Return and Exchange
The Interior Design Services are not subject to exchange and/or return.
10. IKEA warranties and legal warranties
Free IKEA Commercial Warranty:
If in the context of a correct assembly of a product, regular maintenance and normal use, a manufacturing defect appears, and you wish to return said Product, you must return the items to us within the respective terms and conditions; this warranty does not cover normal wear and tear as it does not affect the use or safety of the Product on a daily basis. No commercial guarantee is granted on the Products and/or Services sold in the "AS IS" section.
Legal guarantees:
Installation of IKEA Products and/or Services in places welcoming the public: we remind you that the purchases made under these GTC are intended for domestic use and therefore draw your attention to the fact that our Products and/or Services may, in some cases, not meet the safety standards required for installation and use in a public place. If such a use is envisaged, we advise you to inquire in advance with the local authorities about any specific requirements required, in particular in terms of fire safety.
In addition, we inform you that, with the exception of certain office furniture, most of the conventional guarantees granted by IKEA (mattresses, sofas, kitchens, etc.) do not cover use in a collective or professional environment.
11. Your personal data
By adhering to these GTC, you consent to IKEA, as data controller, canning and processing your personal data for the performance of the contract for the sale of your Products and/or Services and services.
These data are intended solely for our internal services and our service providers (deliveries and/or assembly) acting for the purpose described above. They will be kept for the entire duration necessary for the proper execution of your order, the provision of associated services if necessary and as part of a possible after-sales service, unless otherwise provided by law.
In accordance with the provisions of the respective laws on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, you have the right to access, rectify and delete. You also have the right to object to any processing of data concerning you.

12. Litigation
These GTC are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait.
