Flatbread with almond paste, whipped cream, toasted almonds and cardamom

Luxurious flatbread roll with chopped toasted almonds, topped with berries and icing sugar. A Swedish classic with a new twist.

SERVES 1

INGREDIENTS:

1 GRÄDDAT flatbread

3 tsp. almond paste (purchased or homemade)

2 tsp. roasted, chopped almonds

0.5 dl whipped creamIcing sugar

Berries of choice

Crushed cardamom

ALMOND PASTE

6 dl almonds

1 dl water or milk

STEP BY STEP:

  1. Mix all ingredients to the almond paste witha stick blender or food processor until soft andeven.
  2. Spread the almond paste in the middle ofthe flatbread. Start from the top and leave afew centimetres at the bottom.
  3. Spread the cream on top of the almondpaste. Sprinkle the roasted and choppedalmonds and crushed cardamom over it. Topoff with icing sugar and berries.
  4. Fold the bottom of the bread in a fewcentimetres and then fold it to the left andright into a wrap.
