4 steps to plan your kitchen

Planning your kitchen is when your dreams and ideas take shape. There are lots of things to think about, like where to put the fridge or how many drawers you need. That’s why we have tools that’ll help you out with the perfect design. And, if you want some expert advice we have kitchen planners on hand to help online, at the store, or on the phone, each step of the way.

Before you start planning - find your favourite style and design

What kind of kitchen are you thinking about? Just changing the doors on your kitchen cabinets can change the whole atmosphere, and the combination of shelves or drawers depending on what you want to store will also affect the usability and design of your kitchen.

1. Measure

For accurate planning, make sure the measurements are correct. Measure the width, depth and height of the installation area to millimetre, while visualising the kitchen as you envisage it. Check the location of sockets, switches and water supplies, and measure any ventilation holes or wiring that protrude from the wall.
