IKEA to Open IKEA Shinjuku on May 1

This will be the company’s third location to open in central Tokyo, following the launch of IKEA Harajuku in June 2020 and IKEA Shibuya in November 2020. Located just five minutes on foot from JR Shinjuku Station, IKEA Shinjuku will give the company another highly convenient home-furnishing destination in central Tokyo. The store will feature diverse home furnishing solutions for comfortable, sustainable city living catering to the special needs of urban dwellers living in limited spaces. IKEA Shinjuku will also offer a range of unique take-out foods inspired by Swedish traditions for busy professionals.
For the safety and peace of mind of all customers, IKEA Shinjuku will operate in strict compliance with the government’s COVID-19 guidelines.
IKEA Family preview event
To commemorate the opening, IKEA Shinjuku will offer IKEA Family members an exclusive opportunity to get in on the fun early at a preview event. Please note that advance reservations are strictly required to attend the event on Thursday, April 29.
Reservations for the preview event will start from 12:00 on Monday, April 5 and will be accepted until 23:59 on Friday, April 26. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be closed as soon as the reservation slots are filled.
