Pre-Open for IKEA Family members also planned!

IKEA Japan Co., Ltd., the Japanese subsidiary of Swedish home furnishing company IKEA, whose vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people, will open IKEA Shibuya on Monday, November 30. IKEA Shibuya will be IKEA’s second store in central Tokyo, following the opening of IKEA Harajuku this past June.

IKEA Shibuya, the company’s first seven-story store in Japan, will combine the signature exhilaration of all IKEA stores with diverse city-style living solutions presented on every floor. IKEA Shibuya will also offer a play space filled with toys and playground-type equipment to ensure fun visits for all family members. Showroom floors 1 through 6 will open on Monday, November 30, followed by the 7F restaurant floor scheduled to open next spring.

For the safety and comfort of all customers, IKEA Shibuya will operate in strict compliance with the government’s COVID-19 guidelines.

To commemorate the opening, IKEA Shibuya will provide an exclusive opportunity for IKEA Family members to get in on the fun early at a preview event (reservations required) on Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28. Special discounts will be in effect on both days (only).
