We are working towards changing the way we do things, from the way we source energy and materials to how we design our products and run our operations.

We’ve set high-reaching goals
- By 2030, our goal is for IKEA products to be designed from the very beginning to be reused, repaired, refurbished and recycled, achieving an average circular fulfilment score across our entire product range of 90%, with at least half of our products scoring 100%.
- By 2030, our goal is for an absolute decoupling of virgin, non-renewable material use from IKEA business, with an increase in the share of recycled and renewable content in IKEA products to at least 90%.
- By 2030, Circular services are designed and implemented in at least 80% of our markets, making it easier for people to reuse, repair, refurbish and recycle.

Many of our best ideas are recycled
Our ZEBRASÄV lamp put recycling at the heart of design: It's made with at least 50% recycled plastic.
On our way
As part of our journey to transitioning towards a circular business we’re designing for a circular future.
- In 2025 in the UK, we provided 517,970 free assembly parts to customers online or in store, to care for and repair their IKEA products. Free assembly parts include nuts, bolts, screws and dowels to help customers repair their products and keep them in use for longer.
- In 2025 in the UK, we sourced almost 56,546 used IKEA products via our Buyback service. Through this service we buy back used IKEA products that customers no longer need and resell them as second-hand via our Re-shop and re-use areas.
