Rubber plants are an easy-care plant that's native to Asia. These slow growing plants are able to withstand dry surroundings making them an ideal office plant. Plant tip: trim the leaves to keep it's shape from time to time.
Conditions
Place in a light area out of direct sunlight, as this will damage the leaves. Rubber plants are sensitive to sudden changes
Watering
The growing medium should be moist, but allow it to dry out a little between waterings. The rubber plant is a little sensitive to over-watering, which can cause the leaves to fall off.
Minimum temperature 12°C
Rubber plants are sensitive to temperature changes. This may also cause the leaves to start and fall off.
Location
Rubber plants are best kept indoors where they act as fantastic air purifiers too!
Not for consumption
This plant is just for decoration, and should not be consumed.
Recommended pot diameter: 19 - 27cm
As your plant grows it will need some more space, aim for a pot that's 5-7cm larger than the previous pot. Only repot after two to three years and after a dormant period.
