How to care for your CHAMAEDOREA ELEGANS

The care level

When choosing your plant pay attention to your lifestyle and the care level of that plant. Some might need a little more care than others. But they all have a chance to grow and thrive in your home.

Let's get to know CHAMAEDOREA ELEGANS, better known as the parlour palm

The parlour palm  is native to Central America in the mountain forests. This easy-care plant can be placed outside during warmer periods, perfect as a starter plant.

Conditions

Place in a light area out of direct sunlight, this will damage the leaves.

Watering

The growing medium should be moist, but allow it to dry out a little between waterings.

Minimum temperature 12°C

A lower temperature could affect the plant, they prefer a warm climate. Bring them indoors if the summer months get cooler.

Location

Parlour palms are best kept indoors.

Not for consumption

This plant is just for decoration, and should not be consumed.

Recommended pot diameter: 9cm

As your plant grows it will need some more space, aim for a pot that's 5-7cm larger than the previous pot.
