How to care for an ALOE VERA

The care level

When choosing your plant pay attention to your lifestyle and the care level of that plant. Some might need a little more care than others. But they all have a chance to grow and thrive in your home.

Let's get to know ALOE VERA

The Aloe vera are native to South Africa and tend to prefer warm surroundings. They can withstand dry environments for long periods and are slow-growing making them an Easy-care plant. They are also a fantastic natural air purifier. Top tip: This plant can survive without watering while you are on vacation as it stores water in the leaves.

Conditions

Place in a bright and sunny area. Remove dust every now and then to allow the plant to get as much light as possible.

Watering

The growing medium should be kept dry most of the time. Give it less water during the dormant period, usually in winter.

Minimum temperature 12°C

While it can handle a little cold, a lower temperature could affect the plant. It wouldn't survive a freeze!

Location

Aloe Vera should be kept indoors where it can help purify the air in your home.

Not for consumption

This plant is just for decoration, and should not be consumed.

Recommended pot diameter: 12 - 15cm

Depending on the size of your Aleo vera you may need a different pot size. As your plant grows it will need some more space, aim for a pot that's 5-7cm larger than the previous pot.
