How to care for your BROMELIACEAE

The care level

When choosing your plant pay attention to your lifestyle and the care level of that plant. Some might need a little more care than others. But they all have a chance to grow and thrive in your home.

Let's get to know BROMELIACEAE, or better know as a Bromeliad

This slow growing plant is native to South America and prefers warm surroundings. A spritz of water every few days will mimic a humid climate, encouraging healthy growth. Plant tip: Water this plant by filling the rosette.

Conditions

Place in a bright area out of direct sunlight. Remove dust from it's leaves every now and again to allow it to get as much light as possible.

Watering

Minimum temperature 15°C

Bromeliad plants are sensitive to low temperatures, and tend to like it a little warmer.

Not for consumption

As your plant grows it will need some more space, aim for a pot that's 5-7cm larger than the previous pot. Only repot if the plant is throughly root bound as this plant doesn't like disturbances.
