The worst sofa I have ever owned and probably the worst item I have ever bought from IKEA.MagdalenaI bought a large 5-seater VIMLE corner sofa with a footrest because IKEA had always been a brand I trusted, so I felt comfortable spending a lot of money on it.
After only two years, the fabric has faded so badly that the sofa looks old and worn out. I contacted IKEA, but they consider this to be reasonable ageing.
I could buy replacement covers, but after this experience I simply don't trust that the same thing won't happen again, and I don't want to spend even more money taking that risk.
I even tried giving the sofa away for free, but nobody wants it because of how bad it looks. After just two years, a very expensive sofa is now going to the dump.
I expected far better quality and durability from IKEA, especially for something at this price. This experience has completely changed how confident I feel buying furniture from IKEA.
