Reviews

Great space saver LisaLove this bed for its extra space, but when if my child turns over even moves in the bed the squeaking noise is quite loud ive wondered is this faulty as no other reviews comment on it.4
quite difficult to assemble, instructions were not very clearJoanneWas reasonably price but difficult to assemble and would definitely need at least 2 people. 2
Great floor space saverJozefLovely bed for my 8 year old son. It is amazing how that raised bed creates extra floor space for a little desk and toys. Only thing I would change is a position of a ladder to be on a side of it rather than in the middle. Istructions are clear and straight forward. If you carefully follow it with checking few steps ahead you should be well able to assemble it. I took me 40 mins. with no help of other people.5
Good size bed but very awkward to assemble RebeccaDecided in this bed for a small room to give extra floor space but it was so hard to assemble in a small space. The mesh continuously got in the way and slipped while trying to put screws in. The long bars to keep the under mattress mesh taught were so much hassle that we left them out. Once assembled it’s great. 3
Not great JoeBars are too far apart and the mattress goes though the gaps, not a good design.1
Beds are perfect JoannaBought two of these. First one took a bit to put up but we learned from our mistakes. Little tip when putting the cloth on the frame line up the holds and put the screws in for the base makes it that little bit easier when putting the base on. First bed we were pulling the cloth trying to line up the base. Second bed we'd up in 40 minutes. Kids love them. Tall 11 and 9 year olds 5
Good bed but impossible to assemble MikeThe bed itself is good for the price but if you make a mistake you have to disassemble most of the bed again to fix it. Instructions are not clear enough on this one as 3 of us needed for 3 hours to assemble it. Need a large room to assemble it in too as once it's built you can't take parts off it to move it from room to room easily.2
A space saverKellieWe bought the Tuffing for our daughter as a space saver. It has worked well in the regard. It is a bit wobbly and not as solid as I expected but otherwise a great bed for the price5
Ridiculous to put togetherMelissaTook us about 7 hours to figure it out and put it together the instruction manuels are a joke and the mesh just wouldn't stretch as much as it needed to so we had to cut it in places our self's looks alright when its finally done but wouldn't waste your money for the heartache you'll have trying to put it together not straight forward at all who ever invented the bed needs to give there head a shake1

A bed for new perspectives

Life is pretty good here at the top of the bed. Teasing younger siblings can be kept at a distance, and when mum or dad says good night, the height is just perfect for a hug. Both bunk beds and loft beds are good choices when you want to create more space in a smaller area. With TUFFING, we also managed to make more bed from less material.

We made TUFFING bunk bed and loft bed of stable steel and mesh fabric, and somewhat lower than other bunk beds. It means less use of material and that each bed weighs less to transport.

Kids don’t think about safety, so we do

By centering the ladder, the loft bed became more stable. The ladder also serves as a guard rail for the bunk bed – because children’s beds should be safe places, no matter if you are in the middle of play or deep in the world of dreams. That is why our children’s beds undergo rigorous furniture tests. The industry’s safety standards are very strict, but we take it further. When working with TUFFING, we focused especially on avoiding gaps and openings where small hands and feet can easily get stuck. When we had a model of the bed, it underwent two weeks of intense fatigue tests where the bed frame was continuously exposed to strong forces.

A place for kids to recharge

Throughout the design process we took part in research results from Dr Barbie Clarke, a child psychologist with many years of experience in research about children and their development. She explains the role of the bed: “When we do global research, the children we interview often say that their bed is their favourite part of the home. It is something they can call their own; ‘This is mine, my space’. Even if they share a lot of other things, the bed is often a private area that helps them work out who they are, rest and recharge.”

Material

What is steel?

Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.
