very handy tableIrenei have this table 3 years. great value....i removed the lower shelf as didnt need it. use it for a different purpose. this table is so light and can be moved to different rooms as needed. I have it covered with a kilm rug at the mo and it looks so rich. i bought a 2nd one and am painting it in boho style...paint is lovely over the black colour ...it can be wiped down after use. love love love it ...yes it is quite flimsy but great for the price..hope it always available5
Too flimsyPatrickThis is VERY thin laminate around some sort of cardboard eggshell filler. Mine may have even been broken out of the box. Too flimsy to be of any real use. Kinda what flatpack furniture USED to be like. IKEA can do better.1
EhHeatherI ordered several pieces of furniture from IKEA for a new apartment. This was the only 'eh.' It is super cheap looking and feeling (but it WAS a super cheap price so....). I had more difficulty than I should have to drill the holes in the legs for the bottom shelf. I am sure that was just due to my drill. I am using it without the bottom shelf right now and the product is SUPER light and flimsy. The bottom shelf weighs more than the rest of the table, so I am sure it will be more solid once the shelf is in place to stabilize the table. Just not as pleased with this as the other items I ordered. I am thinking of donating it and replacing it with something that aligns more with the other quality products I received.3

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
