Quality gone downhillMichelleI have these drawers from 2018 and 2025. The older ones use a rigid board frame, while the new ones use a flimsy cardboard. We got 2 sets of the new ones recently and all 4 have fallen apart. I've tried to use wood glue to try fix them but still falling apart. There seems to be space for an extra dowel in each one, but no extra dowel supplied. Very sad, as the original ones were great.
IdealTheaBought this for our hallway kallax for storing keys, glasses etc. in. Easy to assemble. Looks good.
One drawer fell apart soonDeirdreOne drawer fell apart soon after starting use. Will return if unable to repair
works as expected, but no choice of handleDavidThese drawers do just what is expected of them and were simple to assemble.
It would be nice if the handles were sold separately, because, although the ones that come with the drawers were fine, they might not be to everybody's taste.
As with all IKEA products, the base IKEA shelf unit is well-priced, but as you add the accessories you need, the overall price doubles.
Draw insertsJoanneGreat idea for closing the open cubes for storage. Easy to assemble.

Material
What is fibreboard?
Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
