Hard to cut and installHimeshVery disappointed with this product. Hard to cut the road and it’s not sticking on sky windows 1
Impossible to AssembleMartaDon't bother buying this unless you have power tools. You have to cut the curtains, metal rods and other metals parts with a saw that somehow has to fit in a tiny space. No saw good enough to cut through metal is that thin. I tried different saws, asked multiple people for help and we still barely made a dent on the metal. The biggest waste of money... I have assembled several Ikea furniture as well as from other stores and never had any issues before.1
worth to try MeijingziWe bought this for our attic roof window, it works out perfectly never fall off. 5
Room for improvementIwanAlthough the blinds are very neat, it is only able to cut them at certain width, which did not work for out windows.2
Cutting guide and measurements are incorrectJamesPretty amazed at Ikea on this but the cutting guide is all wrong and easy to illustrate with a few pictures if I could upload them. I wanted a 315mm width blind. The Ikea manual says to cut at marked position 12 on the fabric and top / bottom blind rails to make a blind width between 290.4mm and 323.7mm. Everything is very well marked so it's hard to get this wrong. The reason you need a cutting guide is because the rails need to be a shorter width than the blind fabric in order to add plastic stops to the rails for the poles to thread into. So after cutting at position 12 I ended up with 2 pieces of fabric blind at 285mm or 315mm wide, and 2 sets of rail at 240mm and 315mm wide. This allowed me to make a perfect 285mm blind but not a 315mm blind because the rails are too wide - they need to be shorter. So my only option is to cut those 315mm rails shorter again using some guesswork. Also 285mm is less than the requirement for cutting at position 12. So it's not just reversed either..1

Function solution

Block-out fabric

The block-out fabric effectively blocks out all light. Perfect for people who are sensitive to light during sleep, anytime of the day. It prevents glare on TV’s and digital screens. It offers complete privacy at all hours since people outside cannot see in, even when the room is lit.
