Not as straightforward as it seemsMihaelaMy advice, do not even think of attempting assembly unless you have a very compact electric driver. A manual screwdriver and an awl (tools listed in the IKEA assembly manual) will suffice for the top wooden shelf, but for the middle shelf, unless you have the hands of a brain surgeon and an awl the length of a dessert spoon, you will absolutely need a compact electric driver. I had to abandon assembly half way through because I did not have one. It’s a lovely, sturdy bench but, again, ensure you have the right tools before you start putting it together.

I like the look ofDeirdreI like the look of the FJÄLLBO range and bought this to use in the hallway to sit on to remove shoes and also to store them along with hats scards, gloves. It looks well, and seems sturdy enough for the job in hand. I did have to take my time assembling it, and some of the screws were a little difficult to do in confined spaces. (hampered by arthritis) Overall I am very happy with it.
