The textile shade provides a diffused and decorative light.

You can easily aim the light where you need it because the lamp head is adjustable. For instance, you can direct the light on the book you are reading, use it as an uplighter or aim it to focus on a specific area in the room.

Just what I was looking for SarahI have this light over my bed for when I'm sitting on my laptop or doing crafts. The light is warm and not too harsh. Cable reaches my mid-height socket easily but could probably reach a low socket too or be used with an extension lead if not near one. Being able to move the fixture to different angles is very useful. I am impressed with how light it is. I have it mounted to an internal stud wall and am being careful with movement. The most secure mounting for it would be to a solid wall. Bulb was a little finicky to install so that might take a little longer than you expect.5
