The brief
The goal for the design was to refresh the teenage bedroom, keeping some of the existing furniture. The desired style expression was modern, colourful, and girly with an elegant touch. Mixing chosen colours with a few gold touches helped create the desired look. The proposed gallery wall solution mixed with EKET cubes made the space feel more personal, creating a beautiful display area for the girl.
Gallery wall guide
One way to create a dramatic shape but maintain structure is to hang pictures on a centre line. Line up all the bottom and top edges of the picture frames along the centre line.
The golden section is applied by drawing an imaginary line 5/8 of the way up the wall and then hanging each wall decoration so that 3/8 of its height is above this line.
One of the more traditional ways to hang pictures is to line up all the top or bottom edges of the picture frames. You may find a natural line in the room to base this on.
