IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press

IKEA recalls certain date stamps of IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press, black, due to production error   

IKEA asks all customers who own an IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press, black (article number 201.521.58) from date stamps 2411 to 2522 (YYWW) to stop using it and contact IKEA for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required.   

Why is this product not safe to use?

Due to a production error, identified after an investigation, indicating a risk of small metal pieces detaching during use and subsequently being ingested with the food, IKEA is recalling the IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL Garlic press, black (article number 201.521.58) from date stamps 2411 to 2522 (YYWW). Affected products can be identified by a marking of the IKEA logo on the upper handle of the product that look like the example shown below:    

If customers still cannot identify the date stamp, they can still return any IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press, black, for a full refund.  

What should customers do and what remedy can they expect?

Customers who own one an affected garlic press should immediately stop using it and return it to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (receipt) is not required. Customers can also contact IKEA on 01 696 6246.
