What accessibility facilities are available at IKEA stores?

At IKEA, accessibility, diversity and inclusion are embedded in our vision to create a better every day life for the many people. That's why we are committed to being as accessible as possible, so that everyone has a wonderful shopping experience whenever, wherever and however they choose to shop.

To suppport your visit we offer a number of manual wheelchairs, accessible parking spaces and wide aisles in store. Our pay points are also fully equipped with detachable chip & pin pads with easy release for those with mobility issues.

There are a number of other options available too:

  • Accessible Toilets - located in all public toilet block areas in each store.
  • Assisted Shopping - request upon arrival at our Customer Services area, or contact us prior to your trip.
  • Hearing Loops - installed at numerous locations throughout the store as indicated by signage to assist hearing aid users by switching to T setting, or hearing loop programme on their aids.
  • Changing Facilities - We offer enhanced places to change children and adults in our stores. These facilities contain a changing bench and a hoist alongside standard accessible toilet facilities.
  • Service Animals & Rest Points - All service animals are welcome in our stores. Our stores are equipped with many rest points including benches for when you need a break or simply want to ponder that purchase.

Places to change are located in the following stores (<12sqm)

Please be advised that users will require their own sling to use the hoist facility and access may be by request or by RADAR key.
